PDF Security exposed to public

The converters in question, PDF Pro (pdf-pro.io) and Help PDF (help-pdf.com), both operated by the same UK-based company, have left their Amazon S3 cloud storage buckets open to the public. As of Thursday, 89,062 files were exposed: 87,818 from PDF Pro and 1,244 from Help PDF.

Cybernews researchers discovered the breach and promptly issued a warning about the potential for fraud. “With access to personal documents, criminals can engage in various fraudulent activities such as applying for loans, renting properties, or purchasing expensive items using the victim’s identity,” a Cybernews representative stated.
